The BEST pants.
"My 6-year-old, Lego-obsessed son spends a ton of time playing and building on the floor, and in the past year, holes have appeared in the knees of EVERY SINGLE pair of his pants (even those pants with "reinforced" knees). I mend them with patches and the holes come back every time. Enter Jackalo! I actually found this brand by Googling "kids pants with indestructible knees" - and I'm so glad I did! These have reinforced knees too, but the difference is in the thickness and quality of the fabric they use. It's worlds away from the pants you find at big box stores. So although they are pricier they are 1000% worth it! I also really appreciate that they are made with ethical production partners and sustainable fabrics. I try to buy all my kids' clothes secondhand to reduce our family's impact, but given that 90% of what we buy secondhand is fast fashion made with cheap fabrics, I am happy to support a brand like Jackalo that truly puts so much thought into producing clothing for kids that will LAST. I do wish there were more color choices, particularly for the Ash pant, but I also understand and appreciate that Jackalo is choosy about their materials and uses deadstock fabrics, so I'm okay with it. For reference, you may need to size up. My son is 50th percentile for height and weight and the size 6 was too tight in the waistband. We sized up to an 8 (the next size) and they fit him great with room to grow. I love that you can roll up the bottoms."

"I have now had several pieces made by this company, and I can tell you that they are DURABLE! Thick enough quality of textile that after washing over years and heavy use during play, I never found pulls or tears or unraveling at any seams. I'm still marveling at their construction! My kids have sensory sensitivities and there are a lot of complaints they have with various textiles and cuts-but I have yet to hear a single complaint from a piece that we've owned from Jackalo! You just can't go wrong here! As for these new corduroy pieces-they're thick enough for colder weather, but not thick enough that a kid will complain about stiffness. They're soft and comfortable and sustainable! And, we LOVE the trade in-recycle program!!!"
